Despre Noi
Who We Are
The Creative Industries Association (AIC) is an independent, non-governmental organization founded to support the development of contemporary culture and the creative industries in Romania. The idea of establishing AIC emerged in 2008, alongside the project mapping the creative industries in Iași, carried out by the British Council Romania. In 2010, the initiative gained legal status, becoming a dedicated structure for cultural activation and collaboration among creatives, institutions, and communities.
Today, AIC is an active presence in the Romanian cultural landscape, bringing together projects that connect artists, professionals, young people, and diverse audiences. We operate at the intersection of culture, education, community, and civic engagement, contributing to the revitalization of cities, supporting youth, and fostering sustainable cultural ecosystems.
Through festivals, educational programs, social initiatives, and international collaborations, AIC promotes ideas, people, and projects that generate change and support the growth of the creative industries.
Mission
AIC’s mission is to promote and amplify the role that the creative industries play within the economic, social, and educational landscape of Romania and Europe. We believe in the power of culture to foster dialogue, bring communities together, and inspire new perspectives—for both artists and the wider public.
Through the projects we develop, we aim to make culture accessible, relevant, and deeply connected to the needs of contemporary society.
Purpose
According to its statute, the purpose of the Creative Industries Association is to revitalize cultural, social, and educational life, and to support the development of the creative industries through projects that promote initiative, participation, collaboration, and community responsibility.
AIC operates with cultural, economic, social, educational, and humanitarian goals, taking on an active role in community development and in fostering creativity at both local and national levels.
Values
AIC’s work is grounded in a set of core principles that shape the way we understand culture and community:
- Creativity – the foundation of every project and a catalyst for innovation.
- Excellence & professionalism – standards that define all our collaborations.
- Authenticity & initiative – ideas and projects rooted in the realities of the communities we serve.
- Innovation & interdisciplinarity – openness to new forms of artistic expression.
- Perseverance & pragmatism – turning concepts into tangible results.
- Inclusion, diversity & responsibility – respect for people, the environment, and cultural heritage.
These values are reflected in all the programs we develop: festivals, educational initiatives, social interventions, international collaborations, and youth-focused projects.
Objectives
AIC’s objectives are defined in the organization’s statute and reinforced by the experience gained through the cultural and educational projects we implement:
Promoting the active involvement of young people in social and/or entrepreneurial initiatives within the creative industries.
Identifying and supporting individuals with potential—both youth and adults—in developing creative or entrepreneurial initiatives with economic and social impact.
Facilitating young people’s access to educational exchange programs or experiential learning opportunities.
Developing and implementing projects for children, youth, and adults that promote equitable access to education, career guidance, and social inclusion.
Promoting volunteering as a tool for participation and personal development.
Organizing educational events such as courses, seminars, conferences, workshops, creative camps, and training programs.
Publishing editorial materials that support the association’s values and purpose.
Organizing competitions that encourage best practices and innovation in the creative industries.
Implementing cultural events—festivals, concerts, exhibitions, performances.
Raising awareness about sustainability and the role of the creative industries in environmental protection.

The Creative Industries Association develops cultural, educational, and social projects that connect artists, communities, and diverse audiences, contributing to the strengthening and growth of Romania’s creative industries.
