However, the law gives you a valuable right: to decide whether 3.5% of your income tax goes to the state or to a project you believe in.
This is not a donation and it does not involve any additional cost.
It is a redirection — a choice about how part of the money collected by the state can generate impact that is closer to you and your values.
What You Support Through AIC
By redirecting 3.5%, you contribute to the development of a cultural and social ecosystem built over more than 10 years of activity:
• Independent cultural projects
Festivals such as Rocanotherworld and Classix Festival, which have brought together over 250,000 people, hundreds of international and national artists, and created new contexts for young audiences.
• Educational programs for children and young people
Initiatives such as #PREƧENT, which have offered hundreds of workshops for children from vulnerable communities, developing skills, confidence, and access to alternative education.

Redirecting 3.5% of your income tax is a right established by Romanian fiscal legislation (Fiscal Code – art. 123), allowing taxpayers to decide where a portion of the tax already withheld by the state for the previous year should go.
It is not a donation, it involves no additional cost, and it does not change your salary or the amount of tax you pay.
It is, in fact, a choice:
whether you want that portion of your tax to go to the state or to a cause you believe in.
What’s important to know
The redirection is made from the income tax corresponding to the previous fiscal year.
(Example: in 2025, you redirect 3.5% of the tax paid on your income from 2024.)The mechanism is available to taxpayers who have earned income from salaries, small pensions, or other eligible income sources.
The state automatically calculates the exact amount representing the 3.5% — you don’t need to do any calculations.
The entire process is completed through Form 230, which can be filled in and signed online.
It costs nothing: you don’t pay anything extra and no additional amount is taken from your income.
If you don’t choose an organization, that 3.5% remains entirely with the state budget.
You can choose to redirect the amount for 1 year or for 2 years, so you won’t need to repeat the process annually.
The form can be submitted directly to ANAF, by mail, or through us — and we will register it officially on your behalf.

It is one of the simplest forms of civic engagement that the law offers you.
It doesn’t require financial effort, but it has a concrete and direct impact on cultural, educational, and community projects that support the development of society.
